Health Information Portal
The Health Information Portal at National Surgery Network is a resource where patients can learn about their medical procedure and the medical care that is available to them. Patients can login, using their company name and view the benefit details setup by their employer. They can choose from a wide variety of medical procedures, ranging from day surgeries and diagnostic screenings to major surgical procedures, such as heart and orthopedic surgeries.
Patients can learn about their medical procedure, what's involved, and what to expect before, during, and after their procedure. They can also search from a directory of medical providers, which are dynamically presented in order of proximity to the member's zip code and plotted on a map. There is a wealth of information about each provider, such as available services, doctors, quality information and awards. There is also a dynamic vicinity map, patient reviews, and even a form to share with a friend.
Providers can be added to a list of favorites, and when the patient is ready, they can choose a medical provider. At that point, the website connects the patient with a Care Coordinator, who uses a customer ticketing system to schedule the procedure and manage patient and procedure details.
This website represents an end-to-end application that allows the client to educate patients, connect them with medical providers, and manage their care -- all using the same platform: Adobe Business Catalyst. What's more, the client can maintain the entire system using personnel who have no special technical skills. The client learned to use the system using custom training videos, which are available 24/7.
